Heads up! Friends of the Soldiers Home will enjoy its annual Halloween Bash with Soldiers Home-DC residents at the next Happy Hour on Tuesday, Oct. 27. Volunteer in costume! Come on, you know how you like to dress up! We will have our annual Halloween poker game, and more! Write volunteerfriendsofsoldiers (at) gmail.com if you would like to come. In the meantime, enjoy some photos from our last Happy Hour on a rainy evening. We had a wonderful group of residents and volunteers, with Nam Knights joining us, new volunteers and veteran volunteers — and of course the veterans themselves. There was lots of good conversation and our regular group of women residents — one of whom couldn’t wait to dance. She found her partner in a new volunteer!
