Friends of the Soldiers Home will offer its first-ever t-shirt for sale at a bargain price Saturday at the Spring Fling! This is the first time Friends has had t-shirts produced since it began volunteer projects at the Armed Forces Retirement Home in December 2011. The shirt, in a limited-edition Blazing White color, displays the unique Friends logo designed by Petworth resident Maria Mandle through her Creativecouch Designs. The shirt is not only a wonderful way to support Friends, it is a great way to show you care about an organization that is breaking down the barrier that too long separated the Home from the broader community.
